Sustainability & Social Impact

At Krafters, sustainability is not just a value—it’s a drivingforce that shapes our vision, operations, and partnerships. We are deeply committed to creating systemic socialimpact through an integrated approach that addressespoverty, gender inequality, informal sector marginalization and environmental degradation.

Alignment with the UN
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Krafters actively contributes to the achievement of the following SDGs
through its ongoing initiatives:
· SDG 1 – No Poverty:
We enable access to dignified and sustainable livelihoods by integrating economically disadvantaged women into the mainstream value chain. Over 3,200 artisans have generated income through our clusters, helping them transition from economic vulnerability to resilience.
· SDG 5 – Gender Equality:
Our platform is designed around women’s economic empowerment, with 85% of our artisan base comprising women from rural, marginalized, and conflict-affected areas. We ensure equal participation in production, leadership, and decision-making roles.
· SDG 8 – Decent Work & Economic Growth:
We formalize informal home-based work, support microenterprise development, and ensure fair compensation. Our enterprise development programs focus on financial literacy, business planning, and market access, ensuring that artisans are not just workers—but entrepreneurs.
· SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure:
Through our tech-based platforms—including the upcoming Krafters App—we are integrating artisans into digital marketplaces and e-commerce ecosystems, providing them access to infrastructure previously beyond reach.
· SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities:
We promote inclusion of minorities, differently-abled women, and underserved rural populations, creating equal access to training, visibility, and income generation opportunities
